Sumario:
As hinted by anomalies currently seen in the B-meson sector, new physics might exhibit a different flavour structure than the Standard Model. To explore this exciting possibility, the ATLAS experiment is pursuing an ambitious program of direct searches for new hypothetical particles with novel couplings, as well as exploiting abundant SM processes to probe exceedingly rare flavour violating decays. This talk will present recent ATLAS results based on the full Run 2 dataset that are part of this program. Among them, several searches for scalar leptoquark pair production, where both flavour-diagonal and cross-generational couplings are being tested, will be presented. In addition, a milestone analysis on the search for flavour-violating Z-boson decays into a 𝛕-lepton and a light lepton (electron or muon), which has for the first time exceeded the LEP sensitivity, will be discussed.

Passcode: 690814
