Sumario: | The last two Low-Impedance Secondary Collimators (TCSPM) were installed in the LHC tunnel, located in IR7, during the Long Shutdown 2 (LS2). The baseline upgrade of the LHC collimation system foreseen by the high luminosity (HL-LHC) project replaced all the TCSGs (another type of collimator) with new ones (TCSPM) to reduce impedance and ensure with sufficient margin the stability of brighter HL-LHC beams. |
