Sumario:This note summarises the detailed programme of an MD testing the new chromaticity and fast optics measurement methods. It demonstrates experimentally forced 3D beam excitation by AC dipoles and RF phase modulation. Optics measurements based on such an excitation are foreseen for LHC Run 3 commissioning. Further work on method development, excitation automation, and beam dynamics simulations is planned.
