Reconstruction techniques in supersymmetry searches with soft objects in the ATLAS experiment

The compressed mass spectra in supersymmetry (SUSY) is a well-motivated regime, and reconstructing the soft decay products from the sparticle decays is essential for the searches. This report reviews the recent new developments presented in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, with particular focus on the reconstruction techniques on soft leptons; soft $b$-hadrons; and soft charged particle tracks associated the long-lived charged higgsinos.
