Sumario:In the context of the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) the Vacuum Assembly for eXperimental area, called VAX, are modules made of different vacuum and instrumentation components that are installed on the experimental side of ATLAS and CMS near a high radiation area with the help of a robot. Here the CERN CRANEbot handles a VAX module in the CMS cavern without the need for human intervention. The robot, which has been developed at CERN, had previously been tested in dedicated areas for the specific task before the final test in the cavern for a planned start of operation during Long Shutdown 3 (LS3).
