Sumario: | In this study, we try to fine-tune the parameters of a paul trap for antiprotons and for a mixed Ba+, BaH+ cloud. First, a 3D computer model of the trap is built and then a parametric sweep is performed on the applied voltages and frequencies on the trap. We have used COMSOL multiphysics software for this purpose. The simulation model is built and simulated using “AC/DC” and “Charged Particle Tracing” modules. In this study, all of the possible interactions, like particle-particle interaction and space charge, are taken into account to make the simulation more realistic. |
