description
A search for long-lived particles decaying into two muons is presented, using proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS experiment in 2017 and 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 101/fb. We achieve unprecedented sensitivity to otherwise inaccessible phase space at low dimuon mass and nonzero displacement from the interaction point thanks to the success of the CMS dedicated dimuon scouting (high rate) trigger effort. The results are interpreted in physics models beyond the Standard Model, and are also used to set model-independent constraints.
LHC seminar 22 June 2021: https://cern.zoom.us/j/65476983590?pwd=UkdNQndZVDRHSGpPOTRqeFlvVktEZz09
