Sumario:The goal of the CERN summer student project was to design a two-branch vertical beamline for the MC40 Cyclotron Facility located at the University of Birmingham. One branch of the beamline will deliver proton and α-particle beams with energies 10 and 38 MeV respectively to a radiobiology experiment endstation. Another branch will serve to provide neutron scattering experiments. Several designs have been proposed to meet the requirements of these two branches. This work presents the results of structure modeling and particle tracking simulations using MAD-X. The optimal design is defined to fit geometry constraints. Beam dynamics simulations show that beams with high quality and stability can be provided to the irradiation targets.
