description | The LHC (\textit {Large Hadron Collider}) has proven to be one of the most ambitious and powerful scientific apparatus in particle physics with the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012. In the next data-taking period with higher luminosities - Run3, it aims to explore the TeV scale with "pp" collisions at center-of-mass energies up to 14 TeV, in preparation to its successor, HL-LHC (\textit{High-Luminosity LHC}), when major upgrades in the accelerator infrastructure and equipment will be implemented and tested. In order to face the challenges posed by the increase of instantaneous luminosity expected for Run-3, this report explores aspects of the ATLAS Trigger and DAQs Phase-I upgrades with trigger efficiency studies applied on the search of non-resonant Higgs boson pair production in a final state with two "b"-quarks and two "\tau" leptons, considering the semi-leptonic decay mode of the tau-pair. |
