Correction of simulation samples and studying effects of new physics on semileptonically-tagged $\Lambda_c \to \text{pK}\pi$ decays.

The report outlines the methods by which the model for the $\Lambda_c^+ \rightarrow p^+K^-\pi^+$ decay within the simulation of $\Lambda_b^0 \rightarrow \Lambda_c^+\mu^-\nu^+_\mu$ at the LHCb experiment was corrected, where the simulation was generated using the data taking conditions for the year 2...

Sumario:The report outlines the methods by which the model for the $\Lambda_c^+ \rightarrow p^+K^-\pi^+$ decay within the simulation of $\Lambda_b^0 \rightarrow \Lambda_c^+\mu^-\nu^+_\mu$ at the LHCb experiment was corrected, where the simulation was generated using the data taking conditions for the year 2016. An incorrect model for this decay could impact both the efficiency of the signal selection as a function of the phase space as well as the distributions of the variables used in the extraction of the signal yield. The impact that the corrected $\Lambda_c^+ \rightarrow p^+K^-\pi^+$ model has on signal selection efficiency and the templates used in the extraction of signal yield is also discussed. Furthermore, the effect of new physics in the $\Lambda_b^0 \rightarrow \Lambda_c^+\mu^-\nu^+_\mu$ decay on the phase space variables of $\Lambda_c^+ \rightarrow p^+K^-\pi^+$ decays is presented.
