Investigating the Kinematics of the Di-Higgs Signal in the 0-lepton bbWW∗ Channel with the ATLAS Detectorat LHC

description The study of the production and decay of di-Higgs in various channels is im- portant to better understand the nature of the Higgs bosons and to check the validity of the Standard Model. Here, we investigate the HH → bbWW∗ → bbqqqq channel to determine suitable triggers and to identify the on and off- shell W bosons that subsequently decay into four light quarks. From the initial study, various prospective cuts for triggers have been determined. Addition- ally, a correspondence between the mass and the transverse momentum of the W bosons for four-fifths of the total events has been observed, and the off- shell W has been identified as the one with lower transverse momentum for most events.
