description | During the LHC Long Shutdown 2 (2018-2021) the CMS Barrel Pixel detector was disassembled and its innermost layer was fully replaced. In this report, performance plots of the first pixel-detector alignment results are presented, which were obtained with cosmic ray data taken prior to the re-start of the Run 3 LHC pp operations. Alignment constants have been derived using the data collected at 0T magnetic field to the level of single ladder positions in the Barrel Pixel detector, while the alignment parameters of the Forward Pixel and Strip detectors have been determined at the level of the largest mechanical structure hierarchy (half-barrels and half-cylinders). |
