Search for the Single Production of Vector-Like Top Quarks in the Decay $T \rightarrow Ht$ or $T \rightarrow Zt$ with the ATLAS Detector

A search for the single production of a vector-like top quark ($T$) decaying as $T \rightarrow Ht$ or $T \rightarrow Zt$ using the full Run-2 dataset of the ATLAS detector at $\sqrt s=13$ TeV is presented. The talk will motivate the searches for these particles and will focus on the recent public result of the analysis targeting the $T \rightarrow Ht/Zt$ decay topology in the 1-lepton channel. An overview of the analysis strategy is presented and the observed exclusion limits on the production cross section of the $T$ vector-like quark as a function of the universal coupling strength ($\kappa$) and the $T$ mass is discussed.
