Sumario: | In this study, a new stand-alone T-Track reconstruction algorithm, stereo seeding, is designed and optimized. This tailor-made algorithm is designed to exploit the features of the silicon inner tracker to be installed for Upgrade Ib and Upgrade II as a part of the Mighty Tracker. The T-Track reconstruction performance of the designs, including the number and coverage of the silicon inner trackers, is investigated with this algorithm. The results of this study provide a preliminary reference to the Framework Technical Design Report for Upgrade II, where options for Upgrade Ib are also presented. In this document, the methodology of the algorithm is described in detail, the results, assumptions, and future considerations of this design optimizing study are presented. This document is the final report for the CERN summer student program. |
