CELEBRATION: Werner Heisenberg - Life and Work

<!--HTML-->An exhibition on the life and work of Werner Heisenberg is on display in the Main Building (Mezzanine) at CERN until 30 July*. A related celebration will take place on Thursday 18 July. After an introduction from the Director-General Luciano Maiani, it will include reminiscences on Heisenberg’s life and work. – Luciano Maiani: introduction. – Valentin Telegdi (CERN): an overview of his work. – Helmut Rechenberg (MPI für Physik, Munich): Heisenberg, particle physics and the creation of CERN. – Barbara Blum (Heisenberg's daughter): Personal reminiscences. The talks will be followed by an aperitif on the Mezzanine. The event will be webcast live.
