Starting beam commissioning of Linac4
The successful restart of Linac4 on 9 February marked the start of the final countdown to LHC Run 3. Linear accelerator 4 (Linac4) is designed to boost negative hydrogen ions to high energies. It became the source of proton beams for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2020.
