Sumario:The LEP measurement of the weak mixing angle provides us with the only precise experimental indication for physics beyond the Standard Model. It points in the direction of unified theories with supersymmetric particles accessible to LHC. We will introduce the topics of grand unification, the hierarchy problem and softly broken supersymmetry. These will lead to supersymmetric unified theories. Subsequently we will discuss some of their possible experimental consequences including: $sin^{2}\theta_{W}$, proton decay, superparticle spectroscopy, $K_{L}-K_{S}$ transitions, m >ey, electron and neutron electric dipole moments.
