Sumario: | According to the Standard Model, flavour-changing neutral currents (FCNC) are forbidden at tree level and are strongly suppressed at higher orders. Several SM extensions predict enhanced FCNC interactions with top quarks. A model independent way to describe the effects of new physics can be adopted through the Effective Field Theory framework. This talk reviews the current searches on FCNC in the top quark sector using data recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. |
