On the fourth day of a week long immersion programme, the Geneva Coalition on Anticipatory Science and Diplomacy (GESDA) had their Science Diplomacy meeting at CERN. 30 participants from 20 countries around the world and open public forum with up to 1,000 onsite and online participants had their meeting at CERN. The experimental physicist and former CERN director general Herwig Schopper delivered a history lesson. The Swiss foundation GESDA organized the Science Diplomacy Week in Geneva to promote anticipatory Science and Diplomacy as an effective tool for a renewed multilateralism. The Science Diplomacy Week features an Immersion Program and an Open Forum, for exchange, capacity development and mutual learning between the diplomatic and scientific communities.
