description
Abstract:

This lecture will first give a brief overview of the LHC project and a reminder of the discovery Higgs boson. It will then focus on a review of the current experimental Higgs physics landscape through the main landmark results obtained during the Run 1 and Run 2 of the LHC. The lecture will highlight the progress and achievements of the experiments with the well calibrated and understood available data as well as the resulting broadening of the Higgs physics program at the LHC.

Short bio:

Marumi Kado is currently Professor at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. During his PhD from Université de Paris VI, Pierre et Marie Curie at the Laboratoire de l’Accélérateur Linéaire (LAL), he as a CERN fellow, he was a member of the ALEPH Collaboration working on Higgs searches, then as a fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab he joined the D0 Collaboration to work on top physics. In 2003, he joined CNRS at LAL and the ATLAS experiment to work on the liquid Argon electromagnetic calorimeter and the search for the Higgs boson in the diphoton channel. Since 2018 he joined the University of Rome, La Sapienza. From 2012 until 2014, he was convener of the Higgs group in ATLAS, from 2014 to 2016 he was ATLAS physics coordinator, currently and since March 2021 he is deputy spokesperson of the ATLAS collaboration.
