Sumario:The study of the 125 GeV Higgs boson can be a powerful tool in the search for dark matter particles at the LHC. Dark matter particles may be produced in decays of the Higgs boson, resulting in signatures in the detector with large missing transverse momentum. The results of recent searches for invisible Higgs-boson decays on 13 TeV pp data by the ATLAS experiments are presented. Results are interpreted in the context of models where the Higgs boson acts as a portal to DM, and limits are set on the scattering cross section of weakly interacting massive particles and nucleons.
