Sumario: | The signature of semi-visible jets can arise in strongly-interacting dark sectors, resulting in a unique event topology where one of the jets is aligned with the missing transverse momentum direction. This occurs in cases where the missing transverse momentum originates from the invisible components of the two semi-visible jets. A search for semi-visible jets produced via $t$-channel mediator exchange using an integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$, collected during Run 2 with the ATLAS detector at a centre of mass energy of 13 TeV is presented. No excess over Standard Model predictions is observed. Upper limits at the 95% confidence level are set on the signal production cross-section as a function of mediator mass for different values of the invisible energy fraction, ranging from 2.4 TeV to 2.7 TeV. They are translated into upper limits on the coupling strength between the mediator, a Standard Model quark and a dark quark. |
