Sumario: | The calibration of the jets in the forward region is checked using the data collected with ATLAS in the 2012 run which has an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb−1. The 'in situ' technique is used for the decay p + p → Z + jet, where the jet is the prob e particle and the Z-boson is the tag particle. This technique compares the transverse momentum of the tag particle with the prob e particle. It is shown, that the simulated data describe the collected data well. This is a sign for an already go o d calibration. In order to improve the calibration, the method is optimized and residual systematic errors on the measurement are discussed. The results of the 'in situ' technique also seem to show, that the calibration is already good. |
