Towards a New Lepton Flavour Universality Test with Baryons

Sumario: | We examine the shape of the $\Lambda_c^{*}\rightarrow \Lambda_c^+ \pi^+ \pi^-$ as well as gain an understanding of the background due other charmed baryons. Further, we develop an optimized $\Lambda_b^0$ and $\Lambda_c^*$ selection to generate simultaneous fits that clearly distinguish between the signal and background of the $\Lambda_c^+(2595)$ and $\Lambda_c^+(2625)$ resonances. We then finally obtain the ratio $R(\Lambda_c^*) \equiv {\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow \Lambda_c^+(2625)D_s)/}{\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow \Lambda_c^+(2595)D_s)}$. |
