description | ICT devices like smartphones and their inbuilt sensors show a strong development in the last decade, leading to new ways of fruitful interaction of technology and science education. In this framework, we review existing and report own and new research and development from three complementary perspectives on general goals in technology education, scientific and experimental use use of technology in education, and own empirical research about the educational impact of SETs. The contribution concludes with a series of theses regarding integrated technology and science education, addressing limitations, perspectives for synergies between technology and science education, and needs for research and development. |
