Sumario: | During my 8-week stay at CERN, I had the privelege to join the VITO (Versatile Ion polarisation Technique Online) group that is part of ISOLDE to work on two projects: Radiation detected Zero to UltraLow-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (RD-ZULF-NMR) and Liquid β-NMR studies of the interaction of Na and K cations with DNA G-quadruplex structures. I have contributed to the RD-ZULF-NMR project by discussing its experimental setup, by testing the hyperpolarizing setup and by assisting in its preparation to be installed in Geneva Hospital. My contribution to the latter project has been in the form of providing assistance in the maintenance of the beamline and in the measurements of the studied samples during the beamtime. |
