Sumario: | The search for rare events is a way to discover new particles or new phenomena in physics. In parallel to the collider experiments, CERN has launched ambitious programs in the search for rare events. Using the properties of liquid Argon and the time projection chamber (TPC) technology, new experiments were born to discover new particles to explain the presence of dark matter in the universe (Darkside-20k), and to measure the parameters of CP violation in the neutrino sector (DUNE). My internship took place in Switzerland, at CERN, and concerns the simulation and reconstruction of events in a liquid Argon CPT in the framework of these two experiments. |
