Sumario: | When performing ROOT analyses, data reading is an essential step in the pipeline that can be very hardware intensive and lead to bottle necking of analysis run-time. In this vein, the ``rootreadspeed'' command line tool has been upgraded and integrated into ROOT as part of its distribution. It can be used to assist in profiling data reading bottlenecks, as well as the benchmarking different hardware configurations for high-level profiling, to aid users in optimizing their configurations, or for developers to identify space for improvement in the ROOT and XRootD systems. |
