Studies in VH4b using Large R Jets
Set of studies concerning the efficacy of the use of Large R Jets (LRJ) for Higgs mass reconstruction as a handle for cuts in LLP searches in the VH channel; using Monte-Carlo samples of $ZH \rightarrow aa \rightarrow 4b$ (4u for lowest mass), with $m_a\in\{5~GeV,~16~GeV,~55~GeV\}$ and Z+Jets backgr...

Sumario: | Set of studies concerning the efficacy of the use of Large R Jets (LRJ) for Higgs mass reconstruction as a handle for cuts in LLP searches in the VH channel; using Monte-Carlo samples of $ZH \rightarrow aa \rightarrow 4b$ (4u for lowest mass), with $m_a\in\{5~GeV,~16~GeV,~55~GeV\}$ and Z+Jets background. Large R Jets do not seem to be viable within the current analysis due to their high pT calibration cut-off. Instead, it appears that jet re-clustering has potential to rival Small R Jet (SRJ) sensitivity in certain LLP mass ranges. Attempts at naive implementations of "re-clustering" are included to justify the aforementioned claims. |
