description | The EP-DT-FS team is in charge of monitoring the LHC gas systems. Because the existing monitoring tools have some limitations, a complementary monitoring solution is required. This report describes contributions to a new data pipeline with Grafana monitoring. Several programs have been developed that collect data using SQL and CERN's DIP protocol to centrally store data in an InfluxDB instance. Multiple Grafana dashboards have been created that visualize this data. In addition to the improved gas monitoring solution, a low-cost recirculation loop has been designed to power a small particle detector setup. Several tests have been conducted with the constructed recirculation system to analyze its performance. |
