Sumario: | This master’s thesis presents a search for new diboson resonances decaying into a pair of electroweak bosons WW or WZ, where a W boson decays leptonically and the other W or Z boson decays hadronically. The research is based on data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb^{-1}. The search is sensitive to diboson resonance production via quark–antiquark annihilation as well as vector boson fusion and gluon–gluon fusion mechanisms. |
