Sumario:The electrical network in LHC Point 5 (P5) under-went a major renovation during the transition from LEP to LHC. The foreseen upgrades of LHC and CMS, in the frame-work of the HL-LHC and HostLab 2 projects, require once again major modifications and consolidation works, driven by a threefold growth in power consumption. The new loads, installed in the new buildings and in underground caverns and galleries, will increase, in total, the power needs from 8 MVA in RUN3, to up to 28 MVA after LS4. In this paper, an overview of the required modifications of the electrical infrastructure to accommodate such a power increase in the next years in P5 is provided. More specifically, modifications are foreseen: a) in the 66 kV electrical transmission net-work, b) in the medium and low-voltage electrical power stations which will be upgraded and complemented by the construction of a new power station, and c) in the safety network where new diesel generators will be in-stalled to guarantee the backup required for systems dedicated to the personnel or process safety.
