description Reliable monitoring of the electricity consumption is important for both environmental and financial reasons. Having an accurate system that monitors and forecasts energy consumption, can identify areas of improvement to achieve better energy efficiency and make informed decisions on energy management. Web Energy is a web application developed at CERN and is used by the energy management team to monitor energy consumption and generate forecasts based on the accelerator schedules. Using various visualizations and reports, it allows the energy management team to identify deviations from the forecasted consumption and take corrective action. In the current challenging macroeconomic environment, it helps with managing the electricity contract, and the findings from Web Energy are discussed regularly at the Energy Management Panel. At the same time the public dashboards of the application raise the awareness of the users with regards to their energy consumption.
