Sumario:The detectors at LHC will face new challenges once the high luminosity LHC upgrades will be installed. Due to the high pile up of approximately 200 and increased radiation, new detector components designed to withstand the radiation and pile up will be integrated at the CMS detector. Among these is the High Granularity Calorimeter which will replace the current calorimeter endcaps of the detector. This project tests different particle shower reconstruction algorithms inspired by techniques used in jet clustering. Rather than identifying a jet caused by a fundamental parton the jet algorithms are tasked to reconstruct the deposites on the calorimeter from a single particle like a pion to test how well these perform and whether or not it might be a possible method of reconstruction.
