description | A good way to reduce the pressure on hospitals is to offer some of their services directly at home. In partnership with one of the leaders in services for hospital facilities in Italy, students from the @University of Bologna spent their first week at IdeaSquare for the ideation phase of the OPER.CBI programme. Here, they worked on rethinking the doctor-patient relationship, in order to offer services and to set an environment at home for the patients. They focused on three dimensions. The first consist of reflection on the consultancy for setting up the house. The second focus is for a system to detect emotional status and keep track of the therapy in a non-intrusive way with passive detectors, such as detecting changes in habits, mood or eating. Finally, they ideated on the management of the laundry with a smart way for detecting dirtiness and delivering new sheets. At CERN, they were able to get inspired by the very specific technologies we are using and to reflect on how they can integrate them into their project. They had the chance to visit some of the most interesting experiences here such as the CMS or LEIR, and to think in an unconventional way, as we are used to here! |
