Sumario:The current ATLAS Inner detector will be upgraded to the Inner Tracker (ITk) Pixel detector for the HL-LHC upgrade. The new pixel detector will consist of five barrel layers and a number of endcap-region rings that will support and cool the active silicon modules. Specialized carbon structures have been designed to optimize performance and provide hermetic coverage. The design of these structures, as well as their thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties, have been qualified by direct tests on prototypes. In this talk, the novel designs, assembly procedures, and qualification techniques used to prove their adherence to specifications will be discussed together with the results. The remaining R&D steps, as well as plans for production beginning in early 2023, will also be presented.
