Sumario:Accelerator optimization is routinely performed with the help of computer algorithms that fully automate these tasks. However, their efficiency, speed, and time to implement varies greatly depending on the algorithms used. In LINAC4 some of the automatic optimization routines were programmed using different algorithms to find the most suitable. We present the problems for which the computer algorithms were used and the results of our comparative study.
