Sumario: | This document contains a detailed summary of my work during the summer student internship at CERN. Throughout this time we conducted study of the effects of collimator positions on beam induced background measured on the BCM1F, designed a simple algorithmic procedure to identify the dominant causes of background throughout the LHC fills, and lastly we analyzed the albedo/afterglow effect, derived the correction for the new µTCA subsystem, and tested whether there exists a temporal component to this effect. |
