Search for beyond standard model physics in ATLAS

The standard model of particle physics has been tremendously successful in predicting the outcomes of hundreds of measurements at colliders and other experiments. Despite this success, the standard model cannot be the final theory of nature. The search for physics beyond-the-standard model (BSM) is now a major focus of the research program at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This talk will present several recent searches for BSM physics at the LHC, focusing on methodology, novel tools, experimental results, and phenomenological interpretations.
