Tracking and L1 trigger performance in 2018 and 2022 PbPb conditions

Sumario: | This note presents the performance of low transverse momentum (pT) tracking at the CMS experiment, optimized for lead-lead (PbPb) collisions separately in 2018 and 2022. The efficiency and fake rate as a function of track pT and pseudorapidity are shown. The Level-1 efficiency for two candidate configurations for a minimum-bias trigger in PbPb collisions, based solely on the forward hadron calorimeter or combined with the zero degree calorimeter, is also presented.
