In this talk we will present some of the most important changes to the CS3 APIs that come with the so called "edge" branch, and how that is beneficial to the community. Furthermore, the CS3 API protocol GRPC has turned out to be very valueable for internal server communication, but has challenges for communication with clients. For them, HTTP based APIs have prooven to be more suitable. oCIS is using some new HTTP based APIs that will be explained. There will be an fly over the new functionality and some opinions on how the APIs could be added to the next version of the CS3 APIs.
