We highlight in detail the XRootD framework and how EOS is implemented using it. We will go through all components and sub services of the namespace service MGM, what there role is and point you to the relevant documentation. The second part will showcase some EOS instances and some of their configuration at CERN. In the third part of the presentation we will introduce the CERN Tape Archive CTA. We hope there is enough time available to keep the seminar interactive and allow for questions during the presentation.
