The 10 m long Discharge Plasma Source (DPS) in the AWAKE Experiment

The Discharge Plasma Source is a possible candidate for scalable plasma sources, which could be used for the AWAKE Run after LS3. The measurement campaign in May 2023 was a unique opportunity to test the proton-driven plasma wakefield generation with this technology.
