LHCb hackathon on Computing and Software

LHCb engineers and physicists held their 27th hackathon at IdeaSquare on Computing & Software to work on reconstruction, alignment, and testing. The #LHCb experiment is a particle physics detector specialized in b-physics (bottom quark physics). It is designed primarily to measure the parameters of CP violation in the interactions of b-hadrons (heavy particles containing a bottom quark), which help to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe.
