Sumario:In the photo from left to right: Ingo Ruehl (CERN), Michael Benedikt (CERN) and Terese Løvås (NTNU). The discussed project and memorandum of understanding (MoU) involves the design and construction of a heat transfer infrastructure capable of efficiently transferring heat and cold over long distances, surpassing the performance of conventional cooling and ventilation technologies. The overarching aim is to channel all the heat generated by the CERN campus and FCC to wherever it can be used effectively, minimizing the electrical energy needed for heat-dependent processes.
