description Members of the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) project visited the Flex building 947 (10.000 m2 flexible storage), where the mock-up and the Full Remote Alignment System (FRAS) hardware and software solutions were presented. The implementation of a mock-up - the Single Component Test - has been put in place to define and validate all the FRAS hardware and software solutions, serving as an intermediary milestone before the Inner Triplet String Test. The Twice Aperture Prototype magnet, which has been used for training purposes by Geodetic Metrology Group within the Beams Department (BE-GM), for over 20 years, is now installed in the metrology lab 947/R-X05 on the Prévessin site of CERN. It has been equipped with FRAS alignment sensors and supported by motorized jacks, accompanied by their respective acquisition and control and command systems.
