CERN and its neighbours in the village of Prévessin, in France, celebrate Neutrino Day

The day was organized thanks to the collaboration between CERN and the municipality of Prévessin-Moëns and its Municipal Library. It allowed the inhabitants to learn a little more about what happens inside CERN. The evening in particular was devoted to neutrinos. The visit included a movie screening of the film Ghost Particle by director Geneva Guerin at the Municipal Library of Prévessin-Moëns. The screening was followed by a visit to the CERN site in Prévessin, guided by our scientists. During the evening, visitors were able to visit the CERN Control Centre, as well as the CERN Neutrino Platform, a facility that enables the international neutrino community to develop the next generation of neutrino detectors.
