Sumario:
One of the greatest mysteries in particle physics is the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry. CP-violating effects in the Standard Model, which are described by the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix, cannot explain the large amount of matter around us. It is therefore crucial to precisely determine the CKM matrix elements using different approaches and search for inconsistencies. The CKM angle gamma is a parameter of great interest, as it is the only angle in the Unitary Triangle that can be measured directly using tree-level decays. Any discrepancies with global CKM fits may give us hints towards where to find new physics. In this talk, we will review the key measurements by the LHCb collaboration to date. Furthermore, three new measurements of gamma, all of which use a model-independent binned strategy with complementary B and D-decay modes, are presented. Finally, the remaining measurements with the current Run 1 and 2 dataset are discussed, as well as future prospects with the anticipated dataset that the LHCb detector will collect during Run 3 and 4.

Refreshments will be served at 10:30
