Sumario: | This project centers around the EP PIXEL CLICdp Timepix3 Beam Telescope and its ongoing improvements, specifically regarding alignment shift and monitoring. In order to improve the efficiency of data taking and general reliability metrics are logged during a running measurement. This includes measurement progress, DAQ data rates, storage volume and position measurements of the devices in the setup. Furthermore a recently added compressor cart was installed introducing a low volume dry air flow, improving the air-circulation and providing a consistent and enhanced heat dissipation for the detector planes of the telescope. With the cart a series of small sensors monitoring the air and its flow through the telescope. With these new sensors and through analysis of test beam measurement data, the shifts in telescope plane alignment could be put in relation to observables of the telescope environment, by comparing detector plane displacement data with changes in temperature. It was found that there is a correlation between the two with shifts along the cartesian axes in a range of 2 μm and also angularly within a range of 1 degree. |
