A novel binned model-independent technique is developed in this work to account for instrumental asymmetries observed with the control channel, $D_s^+\to K^-K^+\pi^+$. Furthermore, technical contributions made to the LHCb experiment during the Ph.D. studies, specifically in the preparation for the LHC Run 3, are described.
